Our firm dates back to 1969, when first founding member Vincenz v. Raffay received accreditation as a patent attorney. He then associated with the patent attorney Dr. Vollmer. The firm continued to grow successfully, taking over several clients from the Hamburg patent attorney Mr. Crasemann when he closed his business.
The Raffay & Heldt patent firm was created in 1974, followed by the regional Raffay & Boeters patent firm. The firm known today as Raffay & Fleck arose from a merger with the firm run by the second founding member Dr. Thomas Fleck. Raffay & Fleck further expanded its client base by taking over Minetti, a firm based in Lübeck.
In 2004, patent attorney Caspar v. Eichel-Streiber, who was already at Raffay & Fleck, became partner. Vincenz v. Raffay left to enjoy his well-earned retirement. Jan Wienhausen joined the firm as a partner in 2012. Dr. Thomas Fleck retired at the beginning of the following year.
In honor of the founding members, we have retained the name Raffay & Fleck.
